BYD Spare Parts — Wholesale Supply

EV and DM-i platforms · Atto 3 · Dolphin · Seal · Song Plus · Han · Tang

XYQC supplies spare parts for BYD passenger vehicles, covering the Atto 3 (Yuan Plus), Dolphin, Seal, Song Plus, Qin Plus, Han, Tang and Seagull, in both battery-electric and DM-i plug-in hybrid form. The range includes brake and suspension parts, body panels, lighting, cooling and thermal components, charging ports, DC-DC converters, motor mounts and cabin parts. Quotations are issued against the VIN, because BYD changed components repeatedly across model years without changing the nameplate.

What actually wears on a BYD

A battery-electric BYD wears its brakes far more slowly than a petrol car because most deceleration is done by regeneration, but the discs corrode faster in coastal and humid markets because they are used less. Buyers who order pads on a petrol-car schedule end up overstocked on pads and short of discs.

The parts that move consistently are suspension links and bushings, wheel bearings, cabin filters, body parts after minor collisions, charging port assemblies and actuators, and cooling components on the thermal management side. On DM-i models the petrol engine still needs its normal service parts, so the range splits between two very different demand patterns.

DM-i hybrids: two systems in one vehicle

A DM-i car carries both a petrol engine and a traction motor, with an E-CVT rather than a conventional gearbox. That means buyers need engine service parts and high-voltage components from the same supplier, and few suppliers cover both.

The high-voltage side of a DM-i is where errors get expensive. The DC-DC converter, the on-board charger and the battery management board are all paired to the vehicle, and a replacement needs coding. We state the coding requirement on the quotation rather than leaving the workshop to discover it.

Model years and the fitment problem

BYD revised brake calipers, suspension arms and lighting connectors on several models during 2022–2024 without changing the model name or, in some cases, the part number in the aftermarket catalogue. Two checks catch nearly all of it.

  1. 1

    Send the VIN

Seventeen characters, from the windscreen or the registration document. The VIN resolves the plant and the build period, which the model name does not.

  2. 2

    Photograph the old part

For calipers, arms and lamps, a photo of the old part next to a ruler settles the connector and the mounting pattern in one step.

BYD parts — questions buyers ask

Do you supply parts for both the EV and the DM-i versions? +

Yes. The two share body, brake and suspension parts but differ on the powertrain side. Tell us which version and the VIN, and we will quote the correct variant rather than the nearest match.

Are Atto 3 parts the same as Yuan Plus parts? +

Mostly, but not always. Atto 3 is the export name for the Yuan Plus, and export versions differ in charging standard, lighting approval and sometimes in suspension tuning. We quote to the market the parts are going to, not only to the Chinese domestic specification.

Do BYD brake pads wear out quickly? +

The opposite. Regenerative braking means the friction brakes do less work, so pads last considerably longer than on a petrol car. The discs, however, corrode faster in humid or coastal markets because they are used less. Stock discs ahead of pads.

Can you supply a replacement DC-DC converter? +

Yes, for the high-volume models. It needs coding after fitting, and we state that on the quotation. We supply virgin units where available and VIN-matched units where the platform requires it.

Do you supply battery packs for BYD? +

Only by sea, with UN38.3 documentation and Class 9 dangerous-goods paperwork, and only to markets that accept aftermarket packs. For most buyers, modules and cooling parts are the practical route.

Quote BYD parts from a VIN

The VIN settles the model year, the plant and the export build. Send it with the parts you need and the reply includes grade options and lead time.
